Adding products
Adding products in Afosto can be done in two ways.

This article describes adding products manually.
Working method
Once you are logged in, you will see the Dashboard/navigation menu on the left. In this menu
you will see under the button dashboard the button products with various
options.
The button add brings you to the page where you can manually add a new product.
Below you will find different sections.
Description
Name: At name enter the name of the product. This name will appear in your webshop and on your
receipt.
Short description:_ Here you enter a short description of the product, which will appear on the product page.

Search Engine Settings: Clicking this button will open a menu in which you can enter the SEO settings.

comes up in the search results.
Details:_ Here you can enter a more detailed description of the product.
Sales information
Sales price:_ The sales price is the standard price at which you want to sell this product. If you want to sell this product (temporarily) at a promotional price, activate the promotional price by clicking on the gray check mark, fill in the promotional price and optionally fill in a start and end date.
VAT Percentage: Select the desired VAT percentage of the product.
Active: Here you select whether the product should be shown on the website and in the checkout.
Product Information
Type: Select whether the product is a simple product or one with options (for example, sizes or colors).
Stock tracking: Select here if the product’s stock should be tracked
Collections: Here you specify in which collection this product is active; the collection order can be changed by dragging the items.
Shipping Method:Move the block from left to right to select the appropriate volume/weight for this product. If 1 product fits in an envelope slide the block to 1 per envelope. If more will fit in 1 envelope move the square further to the left. It may also be that the product is too large for an envelope, please indicate how many of these products will fit in 1 package.
General information
Item number & barcode:_ Item number is a number by which you can recognize the product (you can fill in something yourself). The item number is automatically converted by Afosto (if possible) into a valid EAN13 code, so that it can be scanned at the checkout.
Stock: Enter the stock of the product here
Product specification
Here you can find and create the various product specifications. Think of
dimensions, colors, etc.
Administration
Ledger Account: _The ledger account is an administrative term; here you can group
products so that they can be easily and clearly displayed in the sales ledger.

Supplier: You can use this field to enter the name of the supplier for this product.

Cost:_ Enter the cost of the product, excluding VAT, so you can later calculate what you have earned from the sale of this product.

Images
Click on upload images to upload product images from your computer to Afosto
so that they can be shown in the webshop. Click on ‘assign images’ to assign 1 or more images

Additional products
Additional products: Here you can link accessories or other additional products for the
additional products to this product so you can sell them on the product page.
Impulse Sales Products: Here you can link products that will be displayed on the shopping cart page to boost impulse

Upsell products: Here you can link similar products, which are for example more expensive than this product, to increase the

Add-on products: Here you can link products that go with a product. For example, insurance for a laptop.
